Rough Cut 2 JB/EA

Above is another rough cut i've done. This one i've used the majority of the footage we want. The sound however didn't flow right and even though the footage was almost exactly like it will be in the final piece the sound is still a bit off. We need to find soundtracks and more effects online to make it sound better and flow better. Hopefully once the sound is improved the film itself will look better.

I hoped to have had the rough cut done a few days sooner however sound definitely proved very difficult and so has taken as longer than hoped.

After having filmed all of our footage we still need a few fillers for sounds so i've come up with a few one liners that we are going to get our actors to say and we are going to overlay these onto the edit.

Rough Cut 1 JB/EA

I've started putting together our trailer. In this cut i've included around 3/4 of the footage we have and taken no notice to sound. I hope to have a complete rough cut done with sound by Thursday 25th January.

Research into industry of media magazines

Bauer Media is a company that owns the film magazine Empire. It's the largest privately owned publishing group in Europe, posting in Germany, Spain, France, Portugal and the United Kingdom. They also publish in the US and Mexico. Was found in 1875 in Hamburg by Johann Bauer. It owns 282 magazines in 15 countries with 6,600 employees and an annual turnover of 1.79 billion euros. Their magazines are under different brands such as "Womens" or "Men's lifestyle". Under these brands are a variety of different magazines such as Heat or Q or FHM. The audience is ABC1 76% male for Empire magazine. ABC1 means Upper middle, middle and lower middle class (white collar).

Filming - Woods day 2 JB

Today (12/01/14) we had our second day of filming in the woods. We were in the woods from 11am-12:30pm and got a lot done. We filmed the rest of our woods footage needed, in total 13 shots.








We encountered a lot of obstacles on this day of filming the worst being the amount of mud in the woods. We had to change a lot of preferred locations for other ones because it was a health hazard the amount of mud in those places. On the whole the filming went well and we only have around 5 shots left to do at school.
